Try this Fitness Shake to Help You Keep Your New Year Resolutions

Are you looking to improve your health and fitness this year?  Are you one of the many of us who started the new year with the promise to ourselves to improve our health and fitness in the coming year?  If you are one of those people who has made yourself that promise this year, you may be looking for healthy recipes to help you along the way.  We seem to start out all excited then a few days into the year, we realize we need more healthy recipes to keep us going.  Perhaps this Tasty Banana Fitness Shake may be just what you are looking for!  This shake is made with skim milk, yogurt, bananas, wheat germ, and Equal.  The cinnamon is optional but I recommend using it.  It is believed in many medical circles that cinnamon is helpful in preventing diabetes and helpful for diabetics.  Whether or not this ends up proven to be true, why take the chance?  Cinnamon is tasty and adds flavor to the shake and it just might be very beneficial. TASTY BANANA FITNESS SHAKE 2 cups skim milk 2 med-size ripe bananas, cut into 1-inch pieces 1/2 cup plain nonfat yogurt 1/2 cup nonfat dry milk powder 1/3 cup wheat germ 1 tsp vanilla 2 1/2 tsps Equal Measure or 8 packets Equal Sweetener or 1/3 cup Equal Spoonful Ground Cinnamon, optional Blend all ingredients except cinnamon in a blender until smooth.  Pour into 4 glasses and sprinkle with the cinnamon, if desired. Yield: 4 8-oz servings. Nutritional Information Per serving: 190 calories, 12 g protein, 33 g carbs, 2 g fat, 4 mg cholesterol, 134 mg sodium Enjoy!
