Low CalorieKellogg Special K Diet
Have you heard of the Kellogg Special K Diet plan? It"s been getting a lot of publicity lately. But is it an effective weight loss program or just another fad diet?
The key ingredient in the Kellogg Special K Diet plan is (are you ready?) Kellogg Special K breakfast cereal. Surprise! They say that you should substitute 2 of your 3 meals a day with a bowl of their cereal in skim milk. You can eat whatever you want for the third meal.
If you need a snack, you"re allowed to eat two snacks a day consisting of Special K snack bars, cereal bars or snack bites. You can also have fruits and vegetables as a snack. Maybe I"m being cynical, but is this a weight loss program or a commercial?
Kellogg says you can lose about 5 pounds in 2 weeks. This might be true, but the biggest problem with a diet like this is that you"re going to have a hard time sticking with it. It may be a novelty at first, but imagine how quickly you"ll get bored eating cereal twice a day every day!
Is this the most effective weight loss program around? I don"t think so. In fact, there is a unique new weight loss program that allows you to eat all your favorite foods and still says you can lose 9 pounds in 11 days! Not only do they make this claim, they guarantee it! I"m as skeptical as the next guy, but if a company is willing to put their money where their mouth is, I"m willing to listen.
My advice would be to forget the Kellogg Special K Diet. Look for a weight loss program that allows you to eat normally and not cut out any major food groups. You"ll be able to stick with it longer and get better, quicker results.
