Kids at college, soldiers away from home, grandparents in another state, love to get a box filled with tasty treats from home or family members.÷  Cookies travel well and are always a welcome treat.÷  Here are some cookie recipes you might want to try the next time you are making a treat box.÷  They are also good at home just because!÷  Raisin Honey Drop Cookies are a unique version of an oatmeal raisin cookie.÷  And who wouldn"t love a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie? RAISIN HONEY DROPS 3/4 cup honey 3/4 cup butter 2 cups sifted flour 1 tsp cinnamon 2 cups uncooked rolled oats 3/4 cup sugar 1 egg 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp soda 1 cup seedless raisins In a large bowl, cream honey, sugar, butter, and egg together. Sift together the flour, cinnamon, salt, and soda; stir into the creamed mixture. Add the oats and raisins. Stir to mix well. Drop by heaping teaspoons onto the prepared cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees on the upper oven rack for 12 to 14 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks. Yield: 4 dozen cookies CHEWY CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 1 1/4 cups butter 2 cups sugar 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla 2 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 cup baking cocoa 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 2 cups peanut butter chips Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixer bowl cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually blend into the creamed mixture. Stir in the peanut butter chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 9 minutes being careful not to overbake. These cookies will be soft and puffy. They will flatten while cooling. Cool slightly on the pan then remove from the cookie sheets and remove to wire racks to cool completely. Yield: 4 to 5 dozen cookies Enjoy!
