Bake at 300 F, (150 C), for 30 minutes or until tender. YIELD:Т  4-5 servings. TIME:Т  40 minutes. Beef And Potato Cakes You can use ground meat if desired.Т  A treat for children. 8 oz. Beef. 8 oz. Potatoes. 1 small 2-3 inch onion chopped finely. 1 egg yolk. Dark soy sauce. 1 teaspoon salt. Cook the potatoes and mash.Т  Mix in egg yolk and salt.Т  Chop onion finely, brown with 1 tablespoon oil, add ground meat.Т  Brown for 4 minutes.Т  Add soy sauce and mix the batch with the potatoes.Т  Shape into balls the size of golf balls, flatten into cakes.Т  Heat the cooking pan. Never put in hot water as that sets the stain.Т  Soak at once in cold water.Т  Rub with soap and wash. A paste of raw starch mixed with cold water will remove these stains on flannel, blankets, and heavy goods. Repeat until stain disappears. Egg-Stain: Wash in cold water, then warm water and soap.
